Outreach Session with Skilled women artisans

On 12th May 2023, Team ACIC-SGTU conducted an outreach in Sasrauli village, Jhajjar with skilled women artisans specializing in making various varieties of terracotta cutlery and products with handmade block prints using natural and artificial colors.

It's heartening to know that rural skilled women from Kumhar families are making a livelihood through their talent and creativity in making terracotta cutlery and products. By promoting the use of soil products for daily use, they are also contributing to sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Earning 10 to 15k per month is a significant amount for these women, and it reflects the potential of their entrepreneurial skills and the demand for their handmade products. It's important to recognize and support such initiatives that promote traditional crafts and skills and provide economic opportunities to rural communities. We hope this encourages other skilled women artisans to come forward and showcase their talent, and more people start using handmade and eco-friendly products in their daily lives.

Encouraging and supporting skilled women artisans to become entrepreneurs can have a significant impact on their livelihoods and the local economy. By promoting entrepreneurship, Team ACIC-SGTU is empowering women to take charge of their economic future and to use their skills and knowledge to create sustainable and impactful solutions for their community. This approach can help to promote inclusive economic growth and improve the standard of living for all members of the community.

Hope that the outreach by Team ACIC-SGTU has helped to inspire and empower the skilled women artisans to become successful entrepreneurs and grassroots innovators and that they continue to receive support and encouragement in their endeavors.
