Two ACIC-SGTU teams participated in the Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology's National Innovation Challenge. One team took first place, and the other placed among the top 10.

Start-up Milan

ACIC- SGTU in collaboration with Udhyam Bharat Manch & Faculty of Law- SGT University organizes Start-up Milan Focus on “How to raise funds for your venture, the right steps of mentoring, and skill management. The subject matter expert Dr. Ritu Bajaj (Ex Registrar of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University) highlighted the journey of raising funds and what is expected out of those funds raised by a startup. She gave emphasis on making a strong legal structure for a startup because if only the backbone is strong then only can a body thrive.

Skill management is another area that Dr. Bajaj has addressed. Startups need to develop and manage a skilled workforce to drive innovation and competitiveness. Dr. Bajaj also discussed strategies for talent acquisition, training, and development, and for creating a conducive work environment to attract and retain skilled individuals.

Mr. Shiv Shankar Goel likely emphasized the importance of startups, intellectual property rights (IPR), and angel investors during the Start-up Milan event. He highlighted that startups are crucial for driving economic growth, creating employment opportunities, and fostering innovation. Mr. Goel also discussed the significance of startups in transforming the Indian economy and making it more competitive globally. Startups have the potential to disrupt established industries, bring new products and services to market, and create new markets, contributing to overall economic development.

Mr. Shiv Shankar Goel encouraged the participants to utilize the knowledge gained from the event to strengthen their legal structures, raise funds effectively, access mentoring opportunities, and manage their skills within their startups. Mr. Goel stressed the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and networking to thrive in the dynamic startup ecosystem.
